"Nice Window"

My Really Awesome Window

It's Memorial Day Weekend!
Show the Armed Forces you care.

Thank you Daddy for your service, thank you Mami for supporting Daddy and holding the family together on the Home Front. Thank you ME and my siblings for being AWESOME....just like all the other military brats.

The reason why I have a picture of my really awesome window is because I was recently reminded on how much I appreciate my window and room. My window is pretty, my room is amazingly tight, and my closet is sick. I love my room.

Today, although it was Sunday, we had our family BBQ for Memorial Day. I had a cheeseburger, texted, chit-chatted away with the family, watched movies, played CAPITALISM (great card game), and of course......drank espresso coffee made by the men of the house..this time my little brother Ricky. It's the tradition in our family for the guys to make the coffee for everyone. I love it.

I also went to Mass earlier in the morning with my friend Matt. It was pretty tight, and we went to Einstein Bagels. Their cream cheese is more expensive than the actual bagels. Gotta love them tricks of the bagel trade....we also went to my house and watched Star Wars on Spike. Epic. I miss Star Wars...

TOMORRRROOWWW.....the family's leaving for VA Beachhhhhh. YAY!

I'm a beach bum. To the max. We're leaving at like 5 in the morning and come back at about 11 at night. Yahoooo for day trips.

Here's a song that makes me smile, it's just so cute-sounding. I especially dig his multi-colored jacket. Alot.

K done byes.
Happy Memorial Day!!!

Summer :)

Soooooo, it's been a while dear blog....miss me? Of course you did.

I know that it's summer and all, but I decided to put up this picture of the "Snowpacalypse " that we had this past winter. Crazy semester, crazy year. I'm still recuperating :P

However, it's been a nice transition to summer. Summer camp doesn't start until June 19th, so until I've been having nice lazy time, going to mass time, going to the beach time, ACTUALLY WATCHING TV time, and random adventures with friends time. It's been a nice healing from the weird semester I think.

So this morning I went out to coffee with a friend of mine at Einstien Bagels, and I really enjoyed my blueberry muffin that they WARMED UP for me. :) Yes, warmed up. Like as if it was a sandwich place. Oh, how sweet that is.

I'm trying to stay away from the whole staying up until 7 in the morning thing that people get into....I still have goals for the summer, but I HAVE been up until 5 a few times. Today I was good though. :)

Tonight I'm going to the awards at my brother's high school, and my daddy comes home from his TDY today!!!! Yahhhhhooooo. It's Memorial Weekend, and the family is going to Maryland for a BBQ on Sunday. We might even also go to the beach Monday or Saturday. Yayyyy.

Speaking of beach, I tanned yesterday quite well so my skin feels happy. I love the feeling of the sun hugging me, it's one of the bestest feelings.

Well, I have laundry to go take care of and I need to do my daily 5-page back exercises....
Buhbyessss.

Little Things

Funny story:

Today in morning prayer I offered up something to God that's been on my mind for a while...I told Him "hey, please just bop me on the back of the head to let me know...okay?" Then I made sure to tell Him that He needed to take care of His babygirl...as if He doesn't already know this.

A couple hours, I got it what I asked for. I wasn't literally boped on the back of my head....but well you may get what I mean. The lil' sign I was looking for. That bop on the back of my head was also a very loving I'm-taking-care-of-you bop. It's the little things that matter in my simple lil' life.

God's kind of a funny dude. Gotta love this guy. Now I guess I just need to carry on humbly!!

Anyways, I've been doing a bit of thinking about what I want to do post-graduation. Yadabadadooo.

Longing for a "Sunburn"

You know it's finals week when:
  • you get sick for no reason
  • nature and being a female was never so difficult this month
  • allergies and heavy pollen counts decide to make an example out of you
  • suddenly you re-discover the music you haven't listened to since you were a sophomore in high school
  • all the sudden a tragedy happens in the family and your mom needs to leave you with the kids for two days
  • it's somebody in your family's birthday, or some important event is scheduled around the time you should be studying
  • final papers get in the way of studying.....with topics such as how to save the world from evils. Ahh being a Global Affairs major...
I'm pretty sure once my last final lets up:
  • I will be miraculously healed of my cold; I will feel AWESOME 24/7
  • Being a female will be fun again
  • The heavy pollen will suddenly find a new victim
  • I will forget about the music I used to listen to and wonder what I used to listen to
  • Nothing will be going on in my family
  • It won't be anyone's birthday....and no important event will come around
  • I will not have a final paper asking me to solve worldly evils in a few pages

What to do, what to do with my life once all this business of finals is over? Well, that's what my pen pal Olivia and I will decide over a lovely picnic soon.

I have a couple things I think would make an ideal summer:
  1. get a JOB! Needdddd $$$
  2. heal my back through physical therapy and swimming; get my body athletic and kickin' again
  3. Read my Microeconomics book I got...and study it for next semester
  4. Read Mere Christianity and something by St. Ignacious
  5. Work on a novel
  6. apply for more internships (ew)
  7. figure out what I want to do with my studies in college.....bleh
  8. go to the beach and have fun
So just now, I screamed because a moth just dropped on a paper near me. I feel like a fool.

Today I celebrate my baby brother Carlos' birthday. Happy birthday Chuchu!

Alrighty, it's time for me to get back to working on my paper....finals cramming awaits me!
