Cubans

Silly Men.

As I was sitting in the pew preparing myself for Ash Wednesday Mass, my Cuban friend Raul made a comment about something which compelled me to hit him, so I did.

[in Spanish] "Ow! Why do Cuban women always have to hit us? My mom, my grandmother, my aunt, they always hit me!"

I ignored him and went on praying.

On my other side, my Cuban friend Alex made some comment, and Raul went to say, "ah, isn't that right Carmen? That men are up here and women are down here?" He made motions with his hands indicating higher and lower levels.

I looked at them smiling at me, and hit them both.

I have no idea why Cuban ladies tend to hit Cuban men, I have no idea.
